The History of Zonta Club Skaneateles

Nestled in the beautiful village of Skaneateles, with its surrounding areas offering endless opportunities for exploration, ranging from turn-of-the-century architecture and stops along the Underground Railroad to some of the most beautiful hiking trails you’ll find in New York State, the Zonta Club of Skaneateles chartered under Zonta International and Zonta District 2, Area 2, on May 13, 2016 to empower women and girls locally and around the world. Skaneateles is a short ways from the Women’s Rights National Historical Park which tells the story of the first Women’s Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls, NY on July 19-20,1848. It is a story of struggles for civil rights, human rights, and equality. And, in many ways the struggle continues today.
