Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of individuals working together to advance the status of girls and women, with more than 26,000 members in more than 1,100 clubs in 63 countries.
Although we are over 100 years old, we are still focused on the needs of women and girls.
Our members have a passion for improving the status of women through advocacy. They volunteer their time, talent, energy and resources to participate actively in Club projects and to raise money for the Club’s annual scholarships, awards and grants that support local women’s programs. These funds are distributed through Syracuse Zonta Foundation, Inc.
Membership in Zonta is by invitation in order to maintain diversity with in the group. Becoming a member of Zonta unites women in the pursuit of a common goal – to advance the status of women – giving them the collective strength to help individual women the world over reach their potential.
