For Zonta Club of Rome, NY service and advocacy is:

  • Providing Care Packages to Rome Health (Hospital) for survivors of sexual assault.
  • Mentoring 3rdand 4th Graders in basic life skills including character-building at Gansevoort Elementary School.
  • Collaborating with other Rome and Mohawk Valley-based organizations to build a better world for women and girls.
  • Supporting families at our local hospice, Abraham House in Rome, NY.
  • Featuring accomplished local women through our speaker’s bureau.
  • Lending our voice to ending childhood marriage both nationally and internationally through our observer status at the United Nations to end gender-based violence through the “#ZontaSaysNO” campaign.
  • Providing scholarships for young women in high school, college, graduate students and returning to college/trade school.
