The Zonta Club of Oswego Financial Awards:

The Zonta Club of Oswego is dedicated to advancing the status of women. A testament to Zonta’s mission in action can be found in the awards and scholarships that are awarded annually.

All Zonta Club of Oswego 2022 scholarships have been awarded and applications are closed.

In 2022, the club was able to award four scholarships to Oswego County residents who are furthering their education.

The $1,000 High School Student Scholarship was awarded to Mary Kate Cloonan of Oswego High School. Mary Kate will attend Princeton University.

The $1,000 Non-Traditional Student Scholarship was awarded to Brandi Ingersoll of Pulaski. Brandi is a graduate student at SUNY Oswego in the Career and Technical Education program, concentrating in Business Education, while raising her three young children and working part-time remotely.

The $1,000 Young Woman in Public Affairs Scholarship was awarded to Holly Pacyon from Pulaski High School. Holly will attend Smith College.

The $1,000 Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship was awarded to Ashley Hein of Oswego. Ashley is enrolled in SUNY Oswego’s MBA HSA program, while working full-time and raising her two young children.

Scholarship Application Forms

NEW in 2024:

High School Vocational Student Scholarship is awarded to a female Oswego County high school senior who has been accepted into a recognized post-secondary vocational tech program OR apprenticeship program in a male-dominated field (e.g., computer science, engineering, welding, automotive technology, etc.).

Immediate family members of Zonta Club of Oswego (ancestors, descendants, adoptees, siblings, and those of their spouse or co-habiting partner), are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Young Woman in Public Affairs Scholarship encourages and recognizes young women who participate in public and community life through volunteer service and leadership and exhibit a commitment to the advancement of the status of women. Applications should be emailed to oswegozontaclub@gmail.com or mailed to Zonta Scholarship, Zonta Club of Oswego, PO Box 5524, Oswego, NY 13126. Applications must be complete and postmarked or emailed by the deadline to be considered. Application deadline is March 15, 2024.

High School Student Scholarship is awarded to a female Oswego County high school senior who has been accepted into a formal higher education program, leading to an undergraduate associate or bachelor degree. Application deadline is April 1, 2024.

Non-Traditional Student Scholarship is awarded to an Oswego County female student who has had to put her educational pursuits on hold, due to family care or employment Application deadline is May 1, 2024

Jane M Klausman Women in Business Scholarshipwas established to encourage women in undergraduate or graduate programs to enter careers and seek leadership positions in business-related fields.
