The Zonta Club of Oswego Financial Awards:
The Zonta Club of Oswego is dedicated to advancing the status of women. A testament to Zonta’s mission in action can be found in the awards and scholarships that are awarded annually.
Zonta Club of Oswego 2024 scholarships have been awarded and applications are closed.
In 2024, the club was able to award three scholarships to Oswego County residents who are furthering their education.
A $1,000 High School Student Scholarship was awarded to Julianna Ricker from Pulaski High School. Julianna plans to attend SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall to study Medical Technology and Chemistry as part of the Honors College, with a career goal of going to Medical School for Emergency Medicine or Trauma Surgery.
A $1,000 High School Student Scholarship was also awarded to Ciara Orr from G. Ray Bodley High School. Ciara will attend the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. She plans to attend law school to pursue a Juris Doctor Degree, with an ultimate goal of becoming a District Attorney.
The $1,000 Young Woman in Public Affairs Scholarship was awarded to Moira Spiegel from Oswego High School. Moira will attend Nazareth University, majoring in Legal studies, with an ultimate goal of becoming a Family Law Attorney.
Scholarship Application Forms
NEW in 2024:
High School Vocational Student Scholarship is awarded to a female Oswego County high school senior who has been accepted into a recognized post-secondary vocational tech program OR apprenticeship program in a male-dominated field (e.g., computer science, engineering, welding, automotive technology, etc.).
Immediate family members of Zonta Club of Oswego (ancestors, descendants, adoptees, siblings, and those of their spouse or co-habiting partner), are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Young Woman in Public Affairs Scholarship encourages and recognizes young women who participate in public and community life through volunteer service and leadership and exhibit a commitment to the advancement of the status of women. High School Student Scholarship is awarded to a female Oswego County high school senior who has been accepted into a formal higher education program, leading to an undergraduate associate or bachelor degree.
Non-Traditional Student Scholarship is awarded to an Oswego County female student who has had to put her educational pursuits on hold, due to family care or employment
Jane M Klausman Women in Business Scholarship was established to encourage women in undergraduate or graduate programs to enter careers and seek leadership positions in business-related fields.
