Zonta of The Adirondacks Group Photo

In 2017, a small band of women gathered, and grew to a group of 22. Together they worked to get the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks off the ground. With a passion for improving the status of women through advocacy, and a belief that women’s rights are equal rights, the Zonta ADK chapter was born! Working together using our collective time, talent, energy and resources we strive to advance the status of women locally and worldwide.

The Adirondack chapter received its charter from Zonta International as Club Number 1965 on July 19, 2017.
In late 2017, the club also received its 501 (c)3 charity status.
Our first Board of Directors was elected at the May 24, 2017 organizational meeting and was comprised of Amy Quinn (President), Petra Weber (Vice-President), Gwyn-Anne Bissonette (Treasurer), Sage Bissell Ruttan (Recording Secretary), Miriam Hadden (Corresponding Secretary), and Joan Kelleher and Nicole Bureau (Directors at Large).
