Welcome to
The Zonta Club of
Utica
The Zonta Club of Utica was founded in 1919 as one of the nine founding clubs started in the first year. Every year since then Utica Zontians have continually worked to improve the lives of women and girls in the Utica area.
Each October, the Zonta Club of Utica holds our Champagne Brunch fundraiser. This money is used to fund seven financial awards including district and international awards including the Young Women in Public Affairs, the Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award, and the Women in STEM award. Local awards include the Eichler/Fox award for women over the age of 25 returning to finish their education and the Promise Award given to a High School student who shows potential.
Some of our service projects include providing necessities for women veterans, providing resources for women in shelters, victims of domestic violence and women returning to the workforce. We encourage women to pursue higher education, take an active role in the community, and realize their potential as future leaders.
