The Zonta Club of Schenectady Financial Awards:

Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award

High School Juniors/Seniors chosen for outstanding volunteer community service. (The Zonta Club of Schenectady offers a small local award, the Community Service Awards, using the same applicant pool.)

Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Established in 1998 from a generous bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York and the 1990-1995 Zonta International Parliamentarian. The Scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees in business management. This is also an award given by Zonta at an international level. Awards available at the local, district and national levels.

The Florence Kudernatch Award

The Florence Kudernatch Award, given to an adult learner, enrolled at Schenectady County Community College and entering her second year of study. The College selects the recipient, and The Zonta Club of Schenectady funds & presents the award each year.

Young Woman in Public Affairs Award

Established in 1990 by Past Zonta International President Leneen Forde, the Young Women in Public Affairs Award honors young women who demonstrate a commitment to leadership in public policy, government and volunteer organizations.
