Mission

Zonta International is a leading global organization of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls.

Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

With nearly 30,000 members belonging to 1,200 clubs in 67 countries, Zontians volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects focusing on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.

A small but mighty club of approximately a dozen members; we accomplish a lot with few resources and a small membership. We find inventive ways to raise funds; for example, art benefits in support of local artists; workshops on fund raising; wine tasting/networking events; etc. At all of our in-person events, we sell jewelry, silk bags, scarves and other items made by women from struggling countries – we do this to support them and to generate proceeds which go towards our local and international service programs.
