OUR NAME<\/span>
<\/strong>The name of the organization shall be the Canton Area Zonta Club. The Club\u2019s area reaches all of St. Lawrence County excluding the 12 mile radius around Ogdensburg.<\/p>\n

OUR MISSION<\/span>
<\/strong>Zonta International is a leading global organization of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls.
<\/strong><\/p>\n

OUR VISION<\/span>
<\/strong>Zonta International envisions a world in which women\u2019s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

OUR OBJECTIVES
<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • To improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local level through service and advocacy.<\/li>\n
  • To work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of members.<\/li>\n
  • To promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.<\/li>\n
  • To be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, to implement service programs, and to provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations, and the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    OUR POLICY
    <\/span><\/strong>Zonta International, its districts and its clubs are nonsectarian and nonpartisan.<\/p>\n

    Zonta International, its districts and its clubs may express themselves about, and become involved in principles and public issues having a bearing on the Objectives of Zonta International. Note policies established by the Zonta International Board.<\/p>\n
