Zonta is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. The Zonta Club of Utica was founded in 1919 as one of the nine founding clubs started in the first year. Every year since then Utica Zontians have continually worked to improve the status of women in the Utica area. The Zonta Club of Utica is dedicated to helping women improve their standing in life whether through scholarships for women returning to school, providing necessities for women veterans, providing resources for cancer patients, and service projects for women in shelters, victims of domestic violence and women returning to the work force.
Executives and professionals or others in a decision-making capacity willing to support and implement the Objects of Zonta International are eligible for membership in the Zonta Club of Utica. Membership candidates are sought among the community leaders in a variety of activities in an effort to maintain a diverse membership.
Potential members are encouraged to attend one of our monthly dinner meetings held on the third Wednesday of each month with the exception of July and August. For more information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
